This class is for all ranks. A deep dive into sport BJJ, time is spent exploring takedowns, sweeping, passing, and submission holds.
This class is geared towards beginners. Focus is on fundamental concepts and techniques that will build the foundation of your grappling skill set.
Also known as submission grappling, this is the equivalent of our Adult BJJ class, but no kimono is worn. All experience levels are welcome in this dynamic and fast paced class.
This is a gi class is taught by CNY’s first female BJJ black belt, Professor April Parks. We aim to provide a comfortable atmosphere for women to begin their BJJ journey, this is the perfect class for women who want to train with other females.
This class is for our athletes that are ages 40 and above. Emphasis is placed on slowing the fight down with head positioning and grips, incrementally advancing up the hierarchy of dominant positions, and low risk/high reward submission attempts.
A time slot for students to pick what they would like to improve on individually. A coach will be present to help and supervise. This time is most effectively spent when coordinating with a partner beforehand and having a plan on what to work on. Time can also be used as pure rolling.

This is a 30 minute class to respect the shortened attention spans of younger children. Children will learn grappling related games and movements, cooperative partner drills, and start to be exposed to some resisted sparring.
A 40 minute class with the main focus on building athletic performance and overall confidence. With an equal amount of drilling and live work, this is quite possibly our most energetic group class!
We are proud to be in partnership with Central Wrestling Club headed by Coach Paul LeBlanc. This is a seasonal program that focuses on folkstyle wrestling for children in grades 7-12.
