Competition Preparation
Gi is required, no color or patch restrictions.
Main focus is on skill acquisition for modern, competition-style (IBJJF centric) jiu-jitsu.
Topics covered include top and bottom positions, takedowns, and submissions. Each class builds off the last, forming a block of related lessons.
General class format: warmup (if required), technique, situationals, Q&A & troubleshooting, and open rolling.
Shorts or shorts with spats plus a form fitting t-shirt or rashguard is required.
Main focus is on modern, competition style (both points and sub-only) submissions grappling.
Topics will compliment the gi classes and class format is similar.
This course uses a research-based approach to empower women with basic self-defense tactics as well as prevention and deescalation strategies.
Taught by women in a safe and supportive environment.
All experience levels welcome, ideal for newer grapplers. This class focus is on fundamental concepts and techniques geared towards beginners.
General class format: discussion, technique, Q&A, and optional live rolling.
All skill levels welcome. This is a block of time without instruction. Can be utilized for whatever the athlete decides to focus on, generally used as time for open rolls.
Focus is on fun, games, movements, building confidence, and a love for being on the mat.
Focus is on a balance between fun and productivity. In this age group, we begin to compete in tournaments (optional) while continuing to build a foundation of technique and confidence.
All experience levels are welcome, mandatory for jiu-jitsu competitors.
Invite only. Our club practice is focused on preparing wrestlers for the upcoming season. This practice is on pause during the varsity season.
Gi with belt required. This practice will teach the techniques of traditional Kodokan and competition style Judo, including warmup/stretching, drills, technique, situational practice as well as live rounds.
Designed for Jiu Jitsu practitioners, this class focuses on building flexibility, strength, and balance to enhance performance on and off the mat. Mackey combines Applied Yoga Anatomy, Muscle Activation, and Qigong to support recovery, injury prevention, and overall well-being. Suitable for all levels, this practice nurtures mental, physical, and spiritual resilience.
This class combines basic striking with intense cardio. While the focus is on basic punch combinations, students will work hand fighting, footwork, agility, overall strength, coordination and ultimately cardiovascular health. One can expect a diverse curriculum inclusive of ladder drills, speed drills, plyometric movements, core stabilizing exercises and more.
